Chairman of the World Internet of Things Foundation
Chairman He Xuming, a native of Sichuan Province, China, is the founder of World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) and has spent more than 30 years leading the work of international associations and organizations. Presently, he serves as Chairman of the World Internet of Things Convention and the World Internet of Things Foundation.
Since 2004, he has begun his research on the development of world Internet of Things and the building of market system and players of digital new economy. He introduced the new cognition and definition of “the internet of things is a network of smart world as a carrier of new globalized economy integrating the new generation of information technology, digital economy and real economy.". He came up with the "Smart Revolution" theory which says that IoT represents the fourth revolution of mankind, created the IoT new economic model – “visualized real-time tracking and tracing plus commercial customization” and designed the top-level architecture of digital economy market players and system. Furthermore, he written and compiled the “Beijing Declaration on the World IoT, the "World IoT White Paper" and the world’s first “White Paper on the Intelligently Interconnected Digital Economy”, pointing to a clear direction towards the innovative development of world economy and society and bringing forward a solution to the market building focusing on the intelligently interconnected digital economy. The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres sent messages to the World Internet of Things Convention Annual Conference (UN official website released his speeches).
The World Internet of Things Convention, or WIOTC, is an IoT international convention organization that is innovative and nonprofit. It is also a nongovernmental organization included in the registry database of the United Nations ECOSOC. The organization has established the Presidium which consists of member states with equal participation from various governments and the Executive Committee which is made up of core members from China, France, Netherlands, USA, Switzerland, Malaysia, Germany, etc. At the same time, the organization has also set up the Advisory Committee, the Standard Working Organization Committee, the New Economic Development Committee, World IoT Foundation and World IoT Research Institute as well as multiple global industrial commissions on industry, agriculture, transportation & auto intelligence, digital energy, smart life, etc. WIOTC has emerged as the most influential and authoritative organization focusing upon the internet of things and digital economy in the world.
Having taken the lead in organizing 9 WIOTC annual conventions and nearly 300 international conferences, he has created the "World IoT Ranking List Top 500", “World New Economic Forum” and “Ambassador Forum” - all of which build an important platform for the exchanges and cooperation between governments and global companies. WIOTC is committed to bridging the digital divide and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. So far, it has received high attention, support and engagement from the United Nations, UN agencies, governments and embassies from more than 100 countries and various international organizations.
