Professor Martin Schnauss, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from Switzerland, made a sharing entitled “Financial Operational Risk Management using 5G Technology". He pointed out that the risk resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems, or from external causes (deliberate, accidental or natural). Events may be direct losses or indirect in the form of result of business suspension. They may also result in damage to reputation. The Operation risk framework can be established to serve as an early warning system for potential operational risk exposures, drive sustainable remediation of excessive operational risk and influence sound decision making. The use of 5G technology enables centralized control to be upgraded to one-to-one direct communication and centralized indirect communication to achieve 5G super fast risk monitoring. At the same time, Professor Martin explained the operational risk management of autonomous vehicles and monitoring mechanisms, the reliability of sensors in autonomous vehicles, and how 5G can help owners of autonomous vehicles manage operational risks. He said that operational risks are unavoidable, but the use of 5G technology can achieve super fast, reliable one-to-one communication (V2X), real-time regulation and coordination.

Wang Lihua, Sales General Manager of China Unicom IoT, pointed out in his speech that 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G are mainly human-centered. With the emergence of the IoT, the entire ecology has undergone very great changes and has become an object-centric business model. In the future, everything can be connected to the Internet, and the watches and sneakers on your feet can become the terminals of the IoT. The convergence of 5G and the IoT is also sure to bring about changes in the entire ecology and business model. He shared China Unicom's self-driving practices and its attempts in industrial scenarios. He said that China Unicom is in the middle of the terminal and the application that it plays a role in connecting the masses of terminals and connecting the vertical applications upwards. China Unicom's platform in the IoT, terminals and applications consists of three parts, including a connection management platform, a device management platform, and a public use platform. In the era of the IoT, China Unicom will continue to uphold the genes of the industrial chain integrator, integrate resources from various parties, and provide end-to-end IoT services to customers.

Ma Ping, Director of Operation of Guodian Hi-Tech, gave a general introduction to the situation of Beijing Guodian Hi-tech's constellation of China's satellite IoT with the theme of "Internet of Everything, Escorted by Tianqi". She introduced that the company mainly designs and launches low-orbit satellites to create the Tianqi constellation and provide intangible data communication services. She pointed out that the current pain point of the IoT is that there is no signal in many places, more than 60% of the earth’s oceans are not covered by operators, and more than 70% of the land has no information access capability; the ability to respond to emergencies is poor, such as earthquakes, mudslides, war and other disasters, the ground network cannot achieve seamless coverage of the global network. Tianqi Satellite IoT solves the problem that the basic operators can't cover or the signal is bad, and it form mutual complementary relationship with the operators. To sum up, Tianqi IoT constellation can effectively solve problems such as poor coverage on the ground network or poor signals in remote areas, and meet the needs of governments, industries, and individuals for aviation, maritime, forestry, meteorological, and environmental protection applications.

Keerthi Dashnamurthy, Business Development Director, WING, APAC Global Services of Nokia made a presentation entitled "Global IoT Telco Infrastructure for the Hyperconnected World". He pointed out that 5G and the IoT are an extremely attractive global opportunity. The number of connected things in the IoT will reach 27 billion by 2025, and the total annual impact of IoT by 2025 will be up to US $ 11 trillion. Automotive is the largest industry for 5G and the IoT: by 2025, the global connection revenue of connected cars is estimated to be 18 billion Euros, and 42% of global cellular IoT (4G / 5G) connections will be connected cars. The number of 5G IoT connections in China by 2025 as of total cellular IoT connections will reach 7.6%. The connectivity infrastructure is the key to obtaining data and realizing the IoT. 40% of global IoT connections will be global or regional. With the increasing volume of devices, solutions and customers, the barriers on roaming are increasing. Nokia Worldwide IoT Network Grind (WING) can serve agriculture, livestock management, logistics, asset management, connected cars, etc. WING IoT Platform has functions such as device and application management, intelligent SIM solutions, security and analytics, and can enable the global network coverage for the IoT. Finally, he described the 5GAA vision endorsed by Nokia, that mobile edge computing is a key element of the connected future, creating a joint ecosystem of cars, smartphones and homes, enabling V2X-based vehicle interface for smartphone controlled functions, and making sure that cross OEM cars and cross operator networks can "speak" with each other, etc.

H3C Director Liu Chen pointed out in his speech that in terms of the overall technology of the IoT, the three main directions in smart cities that are most obvious and also the easiest to achieve is to improve urban transportation, improve urban security, and enhance administrative efficiency. These three points are closely related to people's livelihood, and they are also in line with H3C’s people-oriented philosophy in the fields of products and solutions, and in multiple dimensions. H3C is also considering how these three directions can help society to undergo digital transformation. Liu Chen pointed out that H3C, as a leader in the ICT industry, regards digitalization as the direction of future development. It hopes to start the digital transformation with the IoT and build the future digital twin city together with partners from all walks of life and hundreds of industries when the IoT and 5G era come.

Industrial 5G, unlimited communication

Chen Xinguang, Director of Siemens, shared Siemens' application in the industrial field, especially vehicles. He especially emphasized that what is shared is not the future autonomous driving technology, but is concerned about whether there are special needs and applications for the IoT, 5G, and industrial 5G in automobile manufacturing enterprises. In the future, the IoT and 5G technology can enable different bodies to find their own links and achieve a higher degree of flexible production. This is the future demand of the IoT, and industrial 5G for applications in factories and vertical industries. China has started commercial 5G. In the future, in the industrial field, there are more application scenarios and more new application ecologies can be developed.

Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone Promotion

Wang Lunmao, Assistant to the General Manager of Beijing New Aerotropolis, shared his experiences and perspectives on the planning of the airport economic zone, LEED and digital Luancheng, and the construction of the industry. Taking the planning of the Daxing International Airport Free Trade Zone as an example, he proposed to make the airspace area into a diversified, open, and inclusive city in the future, and provide better application scenarios for future high-tech office production and living. He pointed out that from the hub-type airport to the manufacturing-type airport to the comprehensive-type airport and the innovative airport, the main industries for future development are mainly the life and health industry, the hub high-end service industry and the aviation security industry, we must do a good job in the development of big data, IoT, blockchain and other applications. He said that in the future, Daxing International Airport will be integrated into more black technology applications, promote the development of artificial intelligence, and empower urban construction and industrial development, thereby driving the development of the entire industrial chain. To promote the implementation of the IoT industry, he believes that enterprises can cooperate in three aspects: establishing smart city strategic cooperation, capital cooperation, and scenario application.
