On November 8, the 2019 World Internet of Things Convention Industrial IoT Forum was held in Beijing. Zhang Qi, consultant and professor of the Electronic Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chairperson of China Internet of Things Trade Association, addressed the forum. In her welcome speech, Zhang Qi stated that the IoT is the core of the new generation of information technology and strategic emerging industries, and also a driving force for social and economic development and improvement of people's livelihood. There are various applications of the IoT, but an important point is how the combination of the IoT and the real economy can promote the development of intelligent manufacturing and the Industrial Internet. She pointed out that in the first half of this year, the Industrial Internet policy was extended from the province to the city, and opinions, plans, guidelines and implementation plans for promoting the Industrial Internet were issued in many places across the country. A good pattern of all-round development of the Industrial Internet with central deployment, local advancement, and corporate response has basically taken shape. According to forecasts, the scale of China's industrial Internet market is expected to exceed 600 billion this year, with an average compound growth rate of 13.3%.

Li Dong, Head of Operations for IoT China, Siemens, said that we really need international IoT institutions and platforms such as the World Internet of Things Convention, and also a great need today to promote cooperation on the World IoT Operating System. He shared the practice of Siemens from electrification and automation to digitalization, and talked about the importance of "information security". "According t our understanding of the IoT, and the understanding of the Industrial IIoT, we believe that information security is the top priority." Li Dong introduced, "We know what information security means for the industry, and Siemens has gone a long way in industrial information security and has done a lot. It has also done a lot of very important information security work. These are now one of the services provided by Siemens IoT Service.”

He Qiang, Vice President of Beijing Sysware Technology, said that there are industrial facilities and equipment, technical knowledge, and people in the enterprise, but the barriers between them are clear. It is necessary to integrate through the platform of the Industrial Internet, which includes platformization and APPization. After integration, the boundaries of industrial software, industrial facilities, and industrial technology are broken. After these contents are app-based, a shared or integrated application is made on the platform. This is the “platform + APP” model. And for data collected by the IoT, there will be APPs behind it. At the same time, we have reason to believe that the World IoT Operating System launched by the WIOTC will play an important role in the global connection of all things.

Zhong Yuanfan, Product Executive of Huawei Cloud IoT Services, shared some thoughts and cases about smart industry. Talking about why everyone is so enthusiastic about discussing the Industrial Internet, he believes that the Industrial Internet is helping companies analyze three major issues: the first is to improve the overall efficiency of the enterprise through intelligent manufacturing; the second is that the Industrial Internet realizes the interconnection of the total factors, value chains and the whole industrial chain of supply chain production, and realizes the analysis of the sales environment, service links and demand links from the enterprise to the external and the overall operating efficiency of the enterprise; finally, the Industrial Internet is not a single point, it turns products and services into intelligence service, the traditional selling of products, into products and service.

Shi Zhanbei, Senior Industry Expert of PTC, said that it is a pleasure to join today's Industrial IoT Forum, and pointed out that the three major challenges facing digital manufacturing and future transformation, including how to realize product intelligence, provide users with better and different services; how to realize a digital enterprise inside the enterprise, whether using the IoT or big data, need to connect the operating system to connect the production equipment and intelligent products; people are still the key, the Industrial IoT is not to replace people. On the one hand, we must make human knowledge explicit, and become an APP or a knowledge base. In addition, when we have these data, we need to think about how to guide person, how to guide service operations, on-site maintenance, and on-site assembly. It is believed that the World IoT Operating System launched today will further promote the solution of these problems.

Lin Jiangbin, COO of HanClouds Technology, shared some operating methods, projects and values related to the industrial Internet and industrial ecology with partners. In introducing the case of an auto parts manufacturer, he said: "We monitor all the equipment on a production line to this platform. We monitor the energy consumption on the production line, including the voltage and current of the equipment on the production line. During this monitoring process, we quickly found out which of the entire production line can be improved, energy consumption can be optimized, which situations have problems, and which can be further optimized in the management process. These issues can be judged quickly”. “We are happy to interface with the World IoT Operating System and form the ecological connection of the world”, he added.

The Industrial IoT is the top priority of the economic construction of the IoT industry, covering industrial manufacturing, heavy industry, light industry, automotive and other industrial chains. How to build an IoT visual traceability + commercial customization, the emphasis is on the industrial system of components, raw materials and simplified hardware and software components of the whole industrial chain.
