Experts and entrepreneurs from famous institutions and enterprises such as the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, British Standards Institution, JD.com, DHC Smart City, eHualu, Shenzhen Ganwei Software attended the convention and gave rich and wonderful speeches. Qian Xiaoyu, Vice President of China National Forest Products Industry Association, chaired the forum.
On behalf of the 2019 WIOTC Organizing Committee, Su Tao, Vice Chairman of the WIOTC, welcomed the guests. He said that the IoT Smart City Forum is an important part of the 2019 WIOTC. In recent years, smart cities and a series of related technologies, products, services, concepts and standards surrounding smart cities have emerged endlessly, becoming a hot topic in the entire information industry and the whole society. We believe that with the vigorous development of the IoT, this enthusiasm will continue. The IoT will penetrate into all aspects of the construction of smart cities, from management to applications, from technical products to terminal services, from smart government affairs to smart communities. In the near future we will see that smart cities without the IoT will be impossible. We will welcome the arrival of a new type of smart city.
Liu Yanshen, Deputy Director of National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, gave a special report on "Digital Economy and National Future Economic Development". He said that with the advancement of urbanization, the development and construction of smart cities has become an urgent need. To build a smart city, it is necessary to establish a digital city management information system and constantly improve the city's planning and management. At the same time, the establishment of a modern industrial system, accelerating the deep integration of industrialization and informatization, and promoting the healthy development of cloud computing and big data are particularly important in key livelihood areas such as education, medical care, health, employment, and social security. The construction of smart cities in the future will play a significant role in the development of e-government, industry, agriculture, and tourism. He also proposed new prospects for smart education and smart medical care. “The platform of WIOTC has made great efforts for the world's social and economic development”, said Professor Liu.
Rose Pan, Chief Standard Expert of BSI APAC, provided insights on information security and personal privacy protection and introduced a new international standard for privacy management. She believes that in the era of the IoT, privacy protection and information security are more important. These devices of the IoT are an infrastructure for our entire digital economy. In today's era, it is more meaningful and important to focus on privacy. She also analyzed the security threats to personal privacy in the IoT era. To make a successful privacy protection system, it must be combined with personal business. When doing a new business, you must first evaluate whether this business has any impact on privacy. When designing and developing, you must put privacy-related control points. She said that she was very happy to work with the Convention to explore new developments in global smart cities.
Zheng Yu, Vice President of JD.COM, believes that cities in China have gone through an intelligent process from the beginning of electronicization to networking and then to informationization. To build a smart city, we cannot simply rely on the government; we need versatile talents who know not only the industry but also big data and artificial intelligence. He pointed out that the JD.COM has proposed a four-tier structure to solve the problem of smart cities through measures such as credit cities, AI and industry development, and put forward comprehensive solutions. He also proposed that urban operating systems and digital gateway technologies should play a role in building big data and artificial intelligence and ensuring information privacy and security in the construction of smart cities. In addition, he also took the smart logistics system built by JD.COM and Suqian 5G Scenic Area as examples to describe the future prospects of smart cities. He said that today's Convention provided a good opportunity for us to communicate and cooperate with domestic and foreign enterprises.
Guo Haozhe, Chairman of DHC Smart City Company, said that big data, IoT, and artificial intelligence in the field of smart cities have been well applied to urban development, and the IoT will become a core area in the next smart city. He believes that the IoT is a comprehensive perception system, which can be used to achieve reliable transmission, system perception, high intelligence and humanized services. He took the application of the company's high-rise fire sensing system and the connection of Chengdu urban greenway as examples to illustrate the realization of effective application scenarios in smart cities.
Sun Jianhong, Vice President of eHualu, talked about his understanding of digital twins. He believed that data is very important for city management, which plays a great role in social governance, government management, public services, and industrial upgrading. The purpose of collecting data is to integrate it so that it can reach more industries and more people. He proposed a solution for the urban data lake, making it the brain of the city. Eventually, it will develop into a trusted storage, trusted analysis, and trusted integration under government supervision. It will ensure data rights and privacy protection, empower smart cities, and create a new industrial ecology.
Finally, Shen Dong, Chairman of Shenzhen Ganwei Software, comprehensively introduced the World IoT Operating System from the aspects of operating system composition, system networking capability, and system architecture. He said that the operating system for all things connected developed in cooperation with the WIOTC, including the upgrade and transformation of the IoT smart city, will build a new model of smart cities in accordance with the World IoT architecture and provide a reference for the world.
The architecture system and hardware and software supporting equipment of the smart city of the IoT are the industrial support of the city, the cutting-edge architecture of social governance and government intelligence, and the comprehensive operation and maintenance of economy, society and people's livelihood. This forum provided a reference solution for the construction of smart cities.
