The World Internet of Things Convention 2023, the eighth edition of annual conference hosted by the international organization "World Internet of Things Convention", was held on November 20, 2023 in Beijing, China. The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres delivered a written address to the convention. The initiative "Build the Intelligently Interconnected Global Market of Digital Economy" was launched at the annual event, aiming to call for actions to drive the transition and upgrading of economy among countries around the world, build a smart world supported by the internet of things and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.

We the Mankind are making big strides forward as our economy and society are transitioning from the era of Industrial and Information Revolution to the age of Wisdom Revolution. The continuous emergence of network infrastructures and systems like IoT and new generation of intelligent technologies including cloud computing, big data, AI, etc. is accelerating the change unseen in a century, which gives birth to a new landscape for human economy and society. As a great fully interconnected and smart era is gradually taking shape, both developed and developing countries are grabbing the highland of IoT and digital economy. In order to support the development of IoT digital economy in various countries, help reduce the digital gap, contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and work to benefit people in terms of smart life, production and job, we "World Internet of Things Convention" now officially launch the Initiative "BUILD THE INTELLIGENTLY INTERCONNECTED GLOBAL MARKET OF DIGITAL ECONOMY".

1. We urge countries around the world, especially big economies, to remove the barriers standing in the way of promoting the innovative development of IoT digital economy and strengthen open cooperation on high technology and innovation for creating a smart world.

2. We urge governments and companies worldwide to improve their cognition and strategic positioning of "The Internet of Things is a smart ecological network and a global carrier of digital economy where the new generation of intelligent, digital and information technologies integrate deeply with real economy".

3. We urge government agencies and companies to take urgent action to implement and update the model of advanced digital economy -- "Visualized Real-Time Scenes Tracking and Tracing Plus Commercial Customization" originally proposed by the World Internet of Things Convention in order to build the digital economy market system which is globally interconnected.

4. We hope government agencies and companies around the world will actively engage the international organization "World Internet of Things Convention" and work with us to formulate an international  convention on digital economy focusing on the full and intelligent interconnections on a negotiable basis in an effort for a fully interconnected world and to promote the innovative development of economy and society.

Governments, scientific research institutes, social organizations, and companies are welcomed to be involved in building the global IoT digital economy market and joining WIOTC newly founded industrial commissions to formulate general international standards on IoT digital economy through joint discussion. Let’s work together to boost the sustainable development of intelligently interconnected digital economy worldwide, create benefits for people in terms of smart life and production and embrace a smart world which is fully interconnected.
