In alignment with the United Nations' global digital cooperation and sustainable development goals, and to foster innovative progress in the global economy and society, the World Internet of Things Convention intends to establish global demonstration cities for the intelligently interconnected digital economy across various nations. This initiative aims to enhance the international influence and economic and social governance capabilities of these demonstration cities, setting a global benchmark for the intelligently interconnected digital economy. This effort will serve as a valuable reference for the United Nations, governments, and enterprises worldwide, promoting the construction of intelligently interconnected digital economies and supporting the shared development of human destiny.

The World Internet of Things Convention, an IoT-digital-economy international organization registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, is now accepting applications from local government agencies worldwide to designate global demonstration cities for the intelligently interconnected digital economy. The application will end by July 31, 2025.

The global demonstration cities for the intelligently interconnected digital economy will be officially announced during the 2025 World Internet of Things Convention, with the awarding of an official license and certificate. Local governments worldwide are encouraged to apply, and national governments and international organizations are invited to recommend digital cities, smart cities, green cities, pilot cities for quantum and Starlink communications, and cities that have made notable advancements in the application of IoT-digital-economy technologies. We welcome all local government agencies to participate in the selection process and embrace the honor of becoming a global demonstration city for the intelligently interconnected digital economy.
