The World Internet of Thing Convention, known as WIOTC, is an IoT international organization and also a non-governmental organization recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. As one of the important events of WIOTC, World IoT Top 500 Summit has been organized for consecutive six years, attracting the attention of international community, international organizations, embassies in China, and mainstream media as well as top 500 enterprises including Huawei, Intel, IBM, China Telecom, Haier, Bosch, SAP, PTC and tens of thousands of IoT-related companies through extensive participation and strong support. Having been released for consecutive five years, World IoT Ranking List Top 500 (WIOTRL Top 500) has become the most authoritative and influential ranking list of digital economy. The enterprises on the WIOTRL contribute to 70 percent of output of global Internet of Things and digital new economy. It demonstrates the innovative strength of technological enterprises focusing on digital economy and stimulates the construction and industrial application of global internet of things and the innovative development of digital economy.

The World IoT Top 500 Summit in 2022 is scheduled to open in August 5, 2022. It will be organized with new ways unseen in the past few summits, including release of new Industrial Ranking List, product rollout and promotion, WIOTC Forum on International Cooperation, State Promotion Meeting as well as display ceremony of digital economy and technology, etc. The highlights also consist of thematic speeches and high-end dialogues of Top 500 enterprises. The 2022 World IoT Ranking List Top 500 will be released at the summit, and awarding ceremony of certificates will only be held for the Top 100 enterprises (Gold List Category) and Top 101-200 enterprises (Silver List Category) on the WIOTRL and also to Top 5 enterprises on the Industrial Ranking List.
